The Venetian region, intended as one historical land, made from the encounter of different cultures with one common denominator, has always been at the centre of the philosophy of the Boscaini family, owners of the Masi Winery from the end of the eighteenth century. Sandro Boscaini, President and Managing Director, runs the company with the help of his daughter Alessandra, Sales Manager, and son Raffaele, Marketing Manager and co-ordinator of Masi Technical Group. Also on the management team is the engineer Bruno Boscaini, Production and Plant Manager, with his daughter Anita in charge of Management Systems, Environment and Security, as well as his son Giacomo, who is the Brand Ambassador. The other brother Mario is on the board.
Everything rotates around the Venetian region.
Masi has vineyards and historical properties in the best terroirs in the Venetian region; since 1973 it has collaborated with Conti Serego Alighieri in Valpolicella and, more recently with Bossi Fedrigotti in Trentino, it pays special attention to the selection of vineyards, the safeguarding of grape heritage and cultivation techniques from the Venetian region. Masi has particular expertise in the technique of grape appassimento or the drying of grapes. The Masi Technical Group has worked at length on this process combining this ancient Roman technique with scientific research, in a modern interpretation. This method, called Appaxximento certified Masi Expertise, is used for five Amarone wines: Campolongo di Torbe, Mazzano, Costasera, Riserva di Costasera and Vaio Armarone, as well as three Recioto wines: Mezzanella, Angelorum and Casal dei Ronchi.
